The Odyssey Group Foundation has a long history of giving back to communities in which Odyssey employees live and work. Our charitable endeavors in 2020 were no exception as the world experienced an extraordinary public health crisis.
Less than two months into the COVID-19 pandemic, the Foundation coordinated with Odyssey Group’s global leaders to determine how best to help charitable organizations in their region. As a result, the Foundation donated over $1 million in support of 63 charities, which are listed below.
In addition, our parent, Fairfax Financial Holdings, allowed us to direct $200,000 of their pandemic relief efforts. These funds were donated to Mount Sinai Health System in New York City to support their research into harnessing the power of antibodies within individuals who have recovered from COVID-19 to treat the virus in new patients.
Odyssey Group will continue to support organizations focused on disaster relief, cancer research, healthcare, human services and education via long term grants as well as corporate and employee-matching donations.
Since its inception, the Foundation and its business affiliates have pledged over $55 million to more than 400 charities around the world.
